SONOSCAN AIR-COUPLED PROBES

Advantages:

  • 100% contact-free testing
  • Phased-Array probes made of piezocomposites
  • Frequencies ranging from 50 to 400 kHz

Important Applications:

  • Material testing with air-coupled ultrasound
  • Testing of highly attenuating materials
  • Through transmission and pitch-catch mode

The powerful probes of the SONOSCAN CF series are specially designed for contact-free air-coupled testing with our SONOAIR Phased-Array inspection system.

Due to the electronic focusing our probes can be placed much closer to the test object and thus higher frequencies can be used. Thus, the lateral resolution is significantly increased and much smaller defects can be detected.

Our highly sensitive piezocomposite probes are especially designed for the use with air-coupled ultrasonic testing. The robust and wear-free ultrasonic transducers with stainless steel housing are available in frequencies from 50 kHz to 400 kHz.

We are happy to test your sample as part of a feasibility study on request.
