ELOTEST PL600 with EMDC

ELOTEST PL600 with EMDC

The distance between the sensor and the test part is the decisive factor influencing the sensitivity in eddy current testing. If it is not possible to keep the sensor distance constant, 2 measures are available: For distance variations in the range of +/- 0.5 mm we use the electronic distance compensation (AKOMP) of the PL600 in connection with a specially suitable sensor.

Electromechanical distance compensation For larger distance variations or non-circular test parts (e.g. eccentric bolts), the electromechanical distance compensation (EMDC) regulates the distance within a range of a maximum of 15 mm by positioning the sensor.

EMDC technology for demanding test tasks
  • non-round test parts
  • Test parts with complex geometries,
  • eccentric mounting / clamping of the test parts or other undesirable fluctuations in distance
