The SM mechanical test hammer can be used for qualitative analysis of concrete on site to estimate its mechanical properties. The sclerometric survey is based on measurement of the surface hardness of the material in terms of the rebound index. This is a Non-Destructive Testing method, since it avoids damage and the need to halt operation of the structures.
